Pick up a basket when you come into Tutto Sfoglia and fill it with our pantry items, indispensable for your Italian kitchen.  We’ve narrowed our search for superior products and happily offer two of our favorite extra virgin olive oils; tangy, grassy-green Planeta from Sicily, and the peppery Il Gatturello from Italy’s south-central region of Molise.

You might consider making your own pane bagnato once you’ve  added a jar of ventresca, preserved tuna belly, from our selection to your basket. We have anchovies preserved in salt from Sardinia, capers in salt from the volcanic island of Pantelleria, and the world’s best sea salt from the Sicilian seaside town of Trapani.

You’ll find every Roman’s favorite caffe, Sant’Eustachio, roasted to perfection for your espresso machine on our shelves. Serve the pungent, fruity mostarda di fichi, mustardy, fig jam, from Venice with your next piece of grilled fish for a new taste treat.

We have a nice variety of our favorite pulses or legumes; ceci, chick peas, lenticchie, lentils, cannellini, and the ancient cicerchie from Umbria.  Cicerchie which have no English equivalent, are an odd, flat, shriveled little bean which plumps up when cooked and is an excellent source of protein.  They are delicious when added to almost any room temperature salads.

For us, la cucina Italiana doesn’t exist without tomatoes.  Not just any tomatoes.  We insist on San Marzano tomatoes and offer a good selection of them in jars and tins. We’re thrilled to carry local Nantucket, Eat Fire Spring  honey, made, of course, by Italian bees!  We also stock an intensely flavored Italian chestnut honey. Scattered throughout the store are some non-food items which we think are the ideal accessories, or gifts, for your food and wine centered life.
