We carry an all-Italian selection of wines.  We’ve focused, in particular, on small production and artisanal vineyards who have been concentrating on bringing back some of the old fashioned varietals.  For example, primativo from Apulia was the original zinfandel, or the dark, rich, plumy nero d’avolo from Sicily which can stand on its own or be blended with the frappato grape to make the slightly pinker, cherry-like cerasuolo.   We’re happy to carry several different labels of the recently rediscovered Lambrusco made with the ancient grasparossa grape.   Pecorino is the name not only of a sheep’s milk cheese but also of a varietal, and a wine from Abruzzo.  Erbaluce, from the pre-alpine area north of Turin, is a crisp, white varietal making it an ideal wine for your fish entrees.  We love sparkling wines and are happy to have made the acquaintance of the Gregoletto family from the Veneto whose Prosecco and sparkling rose are always chilling in our refrigerator. We carry a range of dessert wines:  Recioto from the northern region of the Veneto to Passito from the southern island region of Sicily.

We have a good selection of Italian beer - Moretti – rosso, e bianco, Peroni, Nastro Azzuro, as well as local Nantucket beer.
